GOAT USA is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to support the General Counsel in managing a broad range of legal matters that support the company's continued growth. This role provides legal and administrative support across commercial contracts, intellectual property, corporate compliance, and policy development while helping ensure legal processes are executed accurately and efficiently. Paralegal

Job Purpose 

The Paralegal plays a vital role in supporting the General Counsel of GOAT USA by providing comprehensive legal assistance across various aspects of the company’s operations. This role is designed to enhance the efficiency of the legal department by managing initial drafting, reviewing, and editing of a wide array of agreements, which are critical to the company’s business activities. The Paralegal will also support on intellectual property matters, ensuring that the company’s policies remain up-to-date and in compliance with current laws and regulations. Additionally, the role involves creating and maintaining essential legal templates, contributing to the development of training materials, and supporting the implementation of compliance processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, edit a broad range of agreements, including wholesale agreements, vendor agreements, services agreements, influencer agreements, and leases.
• Draft, review, and edit cease and desist letters, office action responses, and assist in trademark specimen collection.
• Assist with legal research and the updating of company policies.
• Create and maintain agreement templates.
• Build training decks and assist with the creation and maintenance of compliance processes.
• File contracts, agreements, etc. into GOAT USA’s internal file system.

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required, law graduate preferred. 
• At least 1 year of experience working as a paralegal or in a legal support role is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong communication, leadership and team management skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Full-Time, non-exempt.
• Normal working hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; must be flexible to work evenings and occasional weekends.

COMPENSATION

The hourly rate for this role is $20.00 an hour. The compensation offered will take into account a number of factors, including the applicant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus may be included as part of the compensation package offer.
