Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Warehouse Associate position is to support the efficient operation of the warehouse by receiving, storing, shipping, and distributing products in a timely and organized manner. This role includes inspecting incoming shipments to ensure the quality and accuracy of inventory, identifying and reporting damaged or defective goods, and labeling and organizing products to maintain optimal storage conditions. Additionally, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, adhering to safety and quality standards. Managing inventory levels, conducting regular stock counts, and assisting with cycle counts to maintain an accurate inventory record are key responsibilities. The role also involves collaborating with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure smooth and efficient order fulfillment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and check incoming shipments to ensure the accuracy of orders
- Pack and fold merchandise as needed.
- Load, unload, pick, and stock products in the warehouse.
- Communicate with the Warehouse management and other Warehouse Associates to ensure tasks and responsibilities are done efficiently and on time.
- Demonstrates the ability to observe safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
- Understand safety guidelines for department, maintain a safe working environment, perform safety inspectors of equipment prior to use, and adhere to all safety regulations when handling equipment and tools.
- Foster a safety culture and address in the moment any safety concerns/hazards with fellow work associates.
- Strong safety orientation and proven record of complying with safety requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies.
- Ensure the warehouse is adequately cleaned and maintained daily.
- Clean up garbage in the aisles and around the warehouse. Fill the garbage dumpster before weekly pickup.
- Cut cardboard and fill up the cardboard container before weekly pickup.
- Ensure products are always in a bin and not loose.
- Organize and label bins and sections by product, style, and size.
Requirements
- Ability to operate hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
- Capable of lifting or moving heavy products up to 50 pounds
- Able to stand and walk throughout the scheduled work shift
- Skilled in handling stressful and demanding situations
- Adaptable to a diverse and changing work environment
- Team player with organizational skills
- Ability to use Warehouse Management Software systems (i.e NetSuite)
- Full-Time, non-exempt.
- Normal working hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; must be flexible to work evenings and occasional weekends.
